Telltale Games and co-publisher PM Studios have officially unveiled The Wolf Among Us 2, confirming that the long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed narrative adventure will launch in 2027. Alongside the sequel, the companies also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, an updated version of the original game scheduled to arrive during the 2026 holiday season.
The announcements were made following the game’s appearance at Summer Game Fest 2026. PM Studios will assist with publishing, distribution, and global release efforts for both projects, while Telltale remains responsible for creative development and the series’ narrative direction. Both games are licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC.
Set after the events of the original title, The Wolf Among Us 2 brings players back to Fabletown, the hidden New York community where characters from fairy tales and folklore live among humans. The sequel once again places players in the role of Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a series of violent crimes tied to a larger conspiracy threatening the city’s fragile balance.
According to Telltale, rising tensions within Fabletown and growing struggles for power will play a central role in the story. Snow White attempts to maintain order while new factions seek to reshape the city’s criminal underworld. As suspicion spreads and powerful figures work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth while confronting questions about the kind of sheriff he wants to be.
While the sequel remains more than a year away, fans will have the opportunity to revisit the original story later this year through The Wolf Among Us Remastered. The updated release rebuilds the 2013 adventure for modern platforms while preserving the core experience that helped establish it as one of Telltale’s most celebrated titles.
The remaster includes all five original episodes: Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing, and Cry Wolf. Players will once again investigate a series of murders, interrogate suspects, and make choices that shape the direction of the story in the noir-inspired adventure.
Telltale says the remastered edition features enhanced visuals, updated character and environment presentation, an improved user interface, accessibility enhancements, and technical upgrades to animation, audio quality, resolution, and frame rate. The package will also include more than an hour of bonus material, featuring behind-the-scenes footage, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes from the game’s development.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is scheduled to launch digitally during Holiday 2026 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, with support for Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. Physical editions are planned for release later in the holiday season.
The Wolf Among Us 2 is currently slated for release in 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. More details on the sequel are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
