Bethesda Game Studios has released Starfield update 1.16.242 for all platforms, bringing a range of crash fixes, gameplay tweaks, quest improvements, and UI updates. The latest patch mainly focuses on improving overall stability while addressing several issues reported by players.
The update resolves multiple crashes tied to Creations, autosaves, and Outpost mode interactions, alongside fixes for quests and crafting menus. A few gameplay adjustments have also been included, with some small balance changes that players may notice during exploration.
General

- Updated the message displayed when save game space is full
- Fixed an issue that caused some crafting mods to display incorrectly in the workbench UI
- Resolved an issue that could cause the EULA to display incorrectly
Starfield is available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The game launched originally on September 6, 2023, before arriving on PS5 on April 7, 2026. Update 1.16.242 is now available across all platforms.
