Street Fighter 6 Update 1.002 Brings Rashid, Makes Some Controversial Changes

Capcom has released update 1.002 for Street Fighter 6 bringing a new DLC fighter, Rashid, and making several important changes.

Street Fighter 6 update 1.002 adds the playable character Rashid to the Goods Shop alongside new outfits, colors, and avatar gear. Rashid’s story is also added to Arcade Mode, and there’s an easier way to switch between Record and Playback in the Training Mode pause menu. A new Master League has been introduced and several bug fixes have been implemented. Replays from earlier versions can’t be played back due to the new battle update, and data from previous versions will not be displayed in the Fighter Profile.

There are significant battle adjustments in the new update, including fixes for unintended character behavior and issues with moves such as the Drive Parry, Power Up Super Arts, and Assisted Combo. Input changes have been made to ease the performance of the Cancel Drive Rush and to ensure it can activate even when a light attack whiffs. Adjustments have also been made to the behavior of light attacks in conjunction with these input changes.

Individual character adjustments have been made as well. This includes fixes for Ryu, Luke, Kimberly, Chun-Li, Zangief, JP, Dhalsim, Cammy, Dee Jay, Lily, Blanka, Juri, Marisa, E. Honda, and Jamie. The changes range from fixes to Overdrive attacks not being performed when manually inputted while holding down the Assist button, to adjusting the hitstop values on super armor hitboxes, fixing Super Art gauge gain on Punish Counter, and more.
