Take-Two Further Hints At GTA 6 Release During 2024
Take-Two Interactive Software has further hinted that the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA 6, will release sometime during the period of April, 2024 and March, 2025.
During the company’s Fiscal First Quarter 2024 earnings call, Take-Two Interactive Software CEO and chairman, Strauss Zelnick, stated that he remains confident about positioning the business for a significant inflection point in Fiscal 2025, which he believes will include new record levels of operating performance.
Zelnick thanked all of the company’s stakeholders for their continued support, and looked forward to delivering on this “exciting next chapter”, likely hinting at the release of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA 6. Given that Take-Two Interactive Software’s Fiscal Year 2025 takes place between April, 2024 and March, 2025, the publisher appears to be planning to launch GTA 6 during this period.
Previously, during its Fourth Quarter 2023 earnings call, Take-Two Interactive had stated that Fiscal Year 2025 is a highly anticipated year for the company. For the last several years, the company had been preparing its business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects that it believes will take it to even greater levels of success.
In Fiscal 2025, Take-Two Interactive expects to enter a new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that it believes will set new standards in the games industry and enable it to achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. The company expects to sustain this momentum by delivering additional growth in its operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond. The mention of the launch of “groundbreaking titles” in the Fiscal Year 2025 appears to be referring to GTA VI, which is the company’s most important franchise. The expected boost in sales momentum suggests that the company is prepping to launch its biggest franchise during the period of April, 2024 and March, 2025.
