The Callisto Protocol Update Today Further Improves PC Performance

The Callisto Protocol has received an update today on PC further improving its performance with optimization carried out by Striking Distance Studios.

The developers had released an update to the game on PC and consoles earlier that was aimed at resolving the performance issues of the game. While they haven’t resolved the PC version issues, they are still releasing updates for the game. The latest patch appears to have further optimized the performance by improving the PSO caching to reduce stutters.

The patch notes for The Callisto Protocol update today were shared by developers and they only mentioned a fix for stuttering and improvements to the cache system.

“We’re listening to your feedback and working hard to further optimize PC performance. Today we released a new PC update that improves PSO caching and further reduces any stuttering issues. Additional PC and console optimizations are in the works now. Stay tuned, ” reads the tweet from the developers.

The Callisto Protocol is a brand-new survival horror game from Striking Distance Studios. It is being developed under Glenn Schofield who has worked as a co-creator of the Dead Space series. While Dead Space itself is getting a remake set to launch in early 2023, The Callisto Protocol is already out and available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.

It is one of the most visually striking games on the current-generation consoles and runs well for the most part on PS5 and Xbox Series. Some issues exhibit for the game on the Xbox Series X like the lack of ray-tracing, but these are supposedly getting fixed in an upcoming update.
