Obsidian Entertainment has released Update 1.2.0.0 for The Outer Worlds 2, introducing several new gameplay features alongside a large collection of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Players can now customise their experience with a new Custom difficulty mode, capture screenshots using Photo Mode, and edit their character’s appearance after starting the game.
The update also expands character customisation with cosmetic armour options and companion outfit settings while addressing quest progression issues, crashes, combat balancing, UI improvements, and platform-specific optimisations across all supported platforms.

- Added a new Rift type containing powerful enemies.
