The Outer Worlds is out soon for Nintendo Switch. Private Division has shared some new screenshots of the game and you can see how it compares to other versions.
The Outer Worlds first launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25, 2019. It was also announced for the Nintendo Switch at a later date. It is finally confirmed to launch on June 5. As the game is getting closer to its official release date, Private Divisio has shared some new screenshots from the Nintendo Switch version.
The Outer Worlds is a fairly demanding game so it is no surprise to see the game struggle to run on the Nintendo Switch. It has been possible thanks to a downgrade of the visual quality which is obvious in the comparison screenshots shared below.
From the comparison, it can be seen that most of the visual effects have been toned down while the overall image is softer with a lower resolution. The textures appear to render at low quality with visible aliasing indicating a low resolution as well. It could be a decent compromise if the game runs well enough with its performance. We have to wait for the full game to release before determining if this is a decent port.
The Outer Worlds will be out on June 5 for the Nintendo Switch. It was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Private Division. The game can be purchased through the Nintendo eShop.
