Voice Actor Reveals What To Expect From Venom In Spider-Man 2

The voice actor for Venom in Marvel’s Spider-man 2, has shared what fans can expect from the character in Insomniac’s upcoming game.

Tony Todd will be playing the role of Venom in Insomniac Games’ forthcoming Marvel’s Spider-man 2, and the actor had some interesting tidbits to share regarding the character’s involvement in the game. Speaking during a special podcast on the Deeper Depths YouTube channel, Todd suggested that Venom will be featured in set-pieces similar to the one’s involving Rhino in Spider-man Miles Morales.

Todd specifically highlighted the scene where Miles is chasing down Rhino, while smashing through windows. He said that Venom’s presence will be in the same vein, likely implying that the character will be featured in a lot of similar, cinematic set-pieces.

The actor also mentioned that the game looks “incredible”, saying that what Insomniac Games’ has done with the landscape, the sky, the vistas of New York, the acrobatics and the character movement is “insane”. It’s no secret that Insomniac Games’ Spider-man games have excelled in the animation department, and Marvel’s Spider-man 2 on the PS5 is likely things to another level.

It’s no surprise, then, that the game has already exceeded the expectations of Marvel. According to entertainment media data analyst and Twitter user Mille A., Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for the PS5 is exceeding expectations for people in the higher-ups at Marvel.

Millie states that one such representative at Marvel who a first-hand look at the game came away impressed by the sequel’s fluidity and visual punch. Another Marvel employee thought the real-time footage resembled the quality of a cut-scene. Millie added that fans should expect a gameplay reveal to happen sometime soon. As for how soon that may be is anyone’s guess.

The first game, Marvel’s Spider-Man. is an action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS4 on September 07, 2022, for PS5 on November 12, 2020, and for PC on August 12, 2022.
