Well Dweller is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox, with the dark fairy tale Metroidvania also launching day one on Xbox Game Pass. The game comes from Top Hat Studios and developer Kyle Thompson, creator of Crypt Custodian and Islets.
Players take control of Glimmer, a small bird armed with a matchstick who sets out to save his siblings after they are taken from their nest. His journey leads through a twisted storybook kingdom where he must battle dangerous creatures, gain new abilities and uncover the secrets behind the decaying realm.
Well Dweller features an interconnected world filled with hidden areas, powerful trinkets and characters that players can befriend. New abilities allow Glimmer to access previously unreachable parts of the kingdom while uncovering more of its mysteries.
The adventure centres on the kingdom’s wicked queen, with Glimmer attempting to burn her before his family becomes part of her royal gown. The journey combines exploration and combat with puzzles and challenges across the game’s dark fairy tale setting.
Well Dweller is available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC through Game Pass, as well as Xbox platforms outside the subscription service. On PC, the game is also available through Steam and GOG.
