The Wu-tang Clan action RPG, dubbed Project Shaolin, will feature melee combat and animations with an anime aesthetic.

According to a job listing on Linkedin for the position of Animation Programmer at Lion Brass Entertainment, the studio’s Wu-tang Clan action RPG will feature melee combat and animations with an anime aesthetic.

Developer Brass Lion Entertainment is looking for an Animation Programmer to work on the unannounced Wu-tang Clan action RPG title. The chosen candidate for this position will work closely with the studio’s animation and design teams to develop a vision for its melee combat animations with an anime style and report to the studio’s gameplay programming lead. The new recruit will be the technical reference for the studio’s animation team in order to make the best possible use of the game’s engine i.e. Unreal Engine 5.

The new recruit will be responsible for developing animation features using Unreal Engine 5, developing tools to enable animators and guide them in making efficient use of the engine, easing collaboration between animation and gameplay teams through workflows, developing tools in collaboration with technical animators, collaborating with programmers on stable, efficient, and performant technology, driving requirements gathering for animation and provide time estimates, and participating in defining the studio’s roadmap for animation.

Wu-Tang Clan is an American hip hop collective formed in Staten Island, New York City, in 1992. RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard until his passing in 2004 were some of the group’s members.
