Xbox Live Games With Gold April 2019 Lineup Offers Star Wars Battlefront 2 And More
Xbox Live Games With Gold lineup for April 2019 has been announced by Microsoft today and the biggest addition is perhaps Star Wars Battlefront 2. Before you start celebrating its inclusion, this is the old version of the game and not the new one.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 was released for the original Xbox. It is a different version of the game from last generation when it was developed by Pandemic Studios. The game continued to live through PC modding scene and achieved cult classic status among the fans. There was supposed to be a sequel to Battlefront 2 but it was apparently scrapped.
Star Wars Battlefront series was rebooted under EA DICE and has received two sequels so far. Those who have Xbox Live membership will be able to enjoy the first Battlefront 2 which some consider the better game anyway.
In addition to Battlefront 2, the following games were confirmed to be a part of the Xbox Live Games With Gold lineup in April 2019.
Xbox One
- Technomancer (April 1st – 30th)
- Outcast: Second Contact (April 16th – May 15th)
Original Xbox/Xbox 360
- Star Wars Battlefront II (April 1st – 15th)
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (April 16th – 30th)
Microsoft is usually the first one to announce their free games lineup for Xbox Live Gold subscribers followed later by Sony with the PS Plus free games. You can look forward to hearing about it later this week.
