Xbox Series S has become the best-selling console during the Black Friday week overtaking Series X and PS5 according to a report.
Black Friday week usually offers a big boon for console hardware sales. While the PS5 and Xbox Series didn’t get a discount, retailers usually do their bundles adding games along with the console to entice buyers. Despite the lack of bundles and even stock availability, Xbox Series S was the market leader during Black Friday week.
This is according to a report by Adobe which compiles the sales data from various retailers across the United States. The metric defined here is “over one trillion visits to U.S. retail sites” as reported by Adobe.
The report also suggests that the lack of stock hurt the sales for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, which wasn’t the case for the Series S. It was readily available for purchase and could be bought from retailers like Walmart and Gamestop. We don’t have the actual sales data to determine what kind of impact the Black Friday week had on the sales of all the current-generation consoles, but this data shows that the Series S is still in high demand.
One of the reasons why this is the case is because of the longevity of the console, as it can play almost all major blockbuster games including the upcoming Halo Infinite. It is also quite a lot cheaper than any competitor at $300 compared to the $500 price for the Xbox Series X and PS5.
