Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2027. The action RPG will introduce Spanish-language support for the first time, alongside performance improvements and GameShare support for cooperative play.
The story follows Adol, who awakens shipwrecked on a cursed island. Stranded alongside other survivors, he helps establish a village as they search for a way to escape. Meanwhile, Adol begins dreaming of a mysterious blue-haired maiden named Dana, whose identity and connection to the island become central to the adventure.
Players will uncover the secrets of the cursed island while exploring Adol’s journey and Dana’s story. The game also allows players to switch between playable characters during combat, taking on enemies with fast-paced action.
Rescuing other shipwrecked passengers is another key part of the adventure. Bringing survivors back to the village allows them to provide valuable services that help the group survive on the island.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will support gameplay at up to 120 FPS. Players will also be able to use GameShare to bring a friend into the adventure and play cooperatively.
