In its extensive analyst report published in December, 2024, Remedy Entertainment revealed its future strategy in light of its lineup of titles. The company was originally targeting the year 2027 for the release of Control Resonant and 2026 for Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake. However, the former ended up releasing earlier this month, while the latter is expected to launch sometime in 2027.

The report also mentioned that Alan Wake 3 and Control 3 will arrive in 2029 and 2030, respectively. Given how both games are far from release, their  stated release windows are likely estimates and not concrete. Given how Remedy Entertainment still has Max Mayne 1&2 Remake set for release before the arrival of Alan Wake 3, these estimates can change over time.

Rowly co-directed Alan Wake 2 alongside Sam Lake. He also directed the Night Springs and The Lake House expansions. Last month, in its financial results for the first half of 2026, Remedy Entertainment reported that the game has surpassed 3 million lifetime sales. The milestone highlights its continued commercial performance, which remains a source of royalty revenue more than two years after its original release.

Remedy Entertainment generated EUR 23.3 million in revenue during the first half of 2026, down 23.1% from EUR 30.3 million during the same period in 2025. EBITDA declined from EUR 6.8 million to EUR 0.5 million, while the company moved from an operating profit of EUR 0.8 million to an operating loss of EUR 2.9 million. Despite the weaker overall results, Alan Wake 2 continued to be a major financial contributor. The company said that its royalties from the game during the second quarter came entirely from consumer sales, with no platform deal accruals involved. Alan Wake Remastered also continued to generate royalty revenue.
