Alan Wake Remastered has been confirmed by Remedy Entertainment and it will offer some upgrades including for next-generation consoles.

In a surprise move, Remedy Entertainment has announced Alan Wake Remastered on a community blog run by Alan Wake fans. It was posted in the form of a message by Sam Lake, the founder of Remedy Entertainment.

In this message, Sam Lake talks about the history of the game and also explains why they are releasing it again on multiple platforms.

“The original game was only available for Xbox 360 and a few years later, PC. We are thrilled about the opportunity to bring the remastered version out for a new generation of platforms. I am excited to hear what you think about Alan Wake, ” says Sam Lake.

“Alan Wake Remastered is the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago. We did not want to change that. But the visuals all around, including the character model of Alan Wake himself and the cinematics, have been updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades.”

The game is set to launch this Fall, but if we believe the retailer listing was accurate, then it could arrive by October 5th. More details on the remaster are going to be shared soon. It is confirmed for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
