Bloodborne Gets a Custom 60 FPS Patch, Here’s How To Install It On PS4

by Ali Haider

Bloodborne has received a custom patch from popular modder Lance Mcdonald that makes the game run at 60 FPS, but it is also tricky to use this patch on a PS4.

While Sony hasn’t released any update to add support for 60 FPS in Bloodborne, despite the launch of the PS5, popular modder Lance Mcdonald has now released his patch for the game that brute forces it to run at 60 FPS. It is possible to let the game run at a higher frame rate now.

If you have a modded PS4 or PS4 Pro, you should be able to install this patch on your copy and play on the console. The method of doing it a bit complicated and if you are out of a modded PS4, don’t expect it to work at all on a regular PS4 or PS4 Pro.

How To Install Bloodborne 60 FPS Patch

  • Make a backup of your Bloodborne copy on PC
  • Patch it to update version 1.09 (e.g from OrbisPatches)
  • Download the 60 FPS patch tool from here
  • Run it on the updated Bloodborne copy
  • Copy the game to the modded PS4 or PS4 Pro

As mentioned by Lance Mcdonald, this patch will make the game run at 60 FPS while downgrading the resolution to 720p. It will be possible to run the game at 60 FPS but obviously, it is not an easy or legit way to play the game. The only way it will be possible is if Sony releases an update for Bloodborne.

Bloodborne is rumored to get a remaster for the PS5 and PC, although there is no announcement on this yet. If there is indeed a remaster, it could make the game support 60 FPS and above especially if ported to PC.
