Crash Bandicoot 4 is one of the games that doesn’t have a confirmed upgrade for the next-generation consoles. It has been rated for Xbox Series X by ESRB.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has just launched for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is backward compatible for the Xbox Series S and X in addition to the PS5, however, unlike the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, there is no definitive upgrade for next-generation consoles.

While Activision hasn’t shared any plans on how they want to approach the release of this game for the next-generation, ESRB has separately rated the game for the Xbox Series X.
Here is a description of the game taken from the ESRB rating.
This is a platformer game in which players help Crash Bandicoot travel through time to stop a destructive force. Players traverse platforms, jump on enemies (e.g., pirates, robots, dinosaurs), and use a spin/kick attack to knock characters out. Some characters (e.g., lizard pirates) use cartoony guns, rockets, and/or dynamite against others; characters generally disappear amid puffs of smoke and whimsical sound effects when defeated. There are a handful of depictions of alcohol: barrels, jugs near a tavern, with a frothy-mug sign; neon signs of barrels with the word “Tavern.” The game contains a comical depiction of a man vomiting. The words “a*s” and “bastard” are heard in the game.

Since there is no announcement regarding a next-generation upgrade, it can be assumed that this could lead to a next-generation upgrade later down the line. However, knowing that this is being published by Activision, don’t be surprised to get charged extra for a port to the next-generaion consoles as they have done the same with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
