Universal Pictures has shared the release date for the two upcoming Halloween sequels. The saga of Lauri Strode and Michael Myers isn’t going to end anytime soon.
Halloween was rebooted last year with a movie that marked the return of Lauri Strode to the franchise but this time the movie retconned almost every sequel save for the first one. As a result, it managed to correct course for the franchise which headed to a trainwreck after multiple terrible sequels.

Halloween was one of the top-grossing horror movies of 2018 and ended up making close to $160 million at the domestic box office. The worldwide gross for the movie was more than $250 million which is good for a slasher film with a strong domestic presence. It was a series record which led to Universal Pictures working on a sequel for the film.
Halloween is now getting not just another sequel but Universal Pictures has dropped a teaser that reveals the name and release date for the two upcoming films. One is Halloween Kills, which will be out on October 16, 2020. The other is Halloween Ends, which will be out on October 21, 2021. Both of these movies might be filmed at the same time to make for a trilogy that will be released over the subsequent years.
