Halo fans can finally look forward to getting their hands on the complete collection for PC as Microsoft has announced Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo Reach for PC. They will be released on both Steam and Windows 10 Store.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the most recent collection that features all major Halo games aside from the Xbox One exclusive Halo 5: Guardians. Halo Reach and Halo ODST were the two noticeable omissions from this collection but now Halo Reach has also been added to it, while Halo ODST was given for free.

Those who are eyeing the collection on PC will have to wait for a while since Microsoft hasn’t provided a concrete release date and just shared the announcement of the collection coming to the PC platform. The most surprising part was hearing that it is also heading to Steam Store, which Microsoft has traditionally ignored in the past.

The new announcement for Halo was a remaster of Halo Reach that will offer support for 60 FPS, 4K, and HDR on the Xbox One. It will launch as a premium add-on for the current owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The multiplayer portion will be a free update for them but the single player campaign has to be purchased separately. Halo Reach will be the first game to launch on PC with the rest of the collection to follow after it.
