In the State of Play presentation today, the developers shared about 14 minutes of new gameplay that shows Aloy going through the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon while fighting new kinds of Robotic creatures. She also comes face to face with a group of rebels that she is forced to fight to save her friend.

Horizon Forbidden West was confirmed for the PS4 and PS5 although Guerrilla Games didn’t share any release date for it. You can watch the gameplay trailer in 4K quality below.

Horizon Forbidden West takes place six months after Horizon Zero Dawn’s events. Aloy, a machine hunter, has journeyed west in search of a strange and deadly plague. She’ll meet weird new tribes and come face to face with increasingly more dangerous robots in these unexplored areas. She must traverse this deadly frontier with old friends and new partners to acquire the answers she needs to rescue life on Earth.

Aloy has sent her faithful companion Erend into the ruins of San Francisco to collect a crucial relic in the State of Play gameplay clip. But he swiftly runs into difficulties when he comes across a Tenakth tribal rebel band — ruthless fighters who have somehow gained the ability to overpower machinery. To save her comrade and continue her mission, Aloy must navigate the ruins and combat many foes.

Horizon Forbidden West will be released for the PS4 and PS5. The game is being developed by Guerrilla Games and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
