Sony has announced that they are going to increase the price of PS Plus subscriptions in Brazil beginning July 7th. The official price has increased by 33%.

According to an email sent by Sony, the change in price is due to adjusting to the current market situation. The new price point is as follows.

  • 1 Month – R$34,90
  • 3 Month – R$84,90
  • 12 Month – R$199,90

So the yearly PS Plus subscription will now cost approximately $40. For comparison, it is $60 in the USA. This is still cheaper than other markets like the United States and Europe, however, it is still 33% more expensive.

Sony has started to offer PS5 games in addition to giving a selection of major PS4 games to all PS Plus subscribers who own PS5. This collection can only be redeemed on a PS5 and includes more than a dozen games from the PS4 library.

PS Plus subscribers can enjoy monthly free games for their PS4 and PS5 in addition to exclusive discounts in sales. They can also grab exclusive DLC and other bonus items that are a perk of the PlayStation Plus membership. Of course, we are not taking into account the requirement to play online multiplayer, which is offered by PS+, or the ability to have cloud saves of games.

PlayStation Plus games lineup for May 2021 included games like Battlefield V, Stranded Deep, and Wreckfest for the PS5. In the past, PS5 owners can enjoy games like Maneater, Bugsnax, and Destruction All-Stars.

In addition to PS+, Sony also offers PS Now, which is a game streaming and download service offering a huge range of PS4 games to download or stream, in addition to PS3 games that can be streamed on a PS4 or a PS5. Sony had recently announced a 1080p upgrade for the streaming service with PS Now. It will be released to all subscribers later this year.
