Sony had just released an update for the PlayStation 5 that added support for external hard disk storage. While this allowed users to copy games to the external hard disk, it doesn’t let them play it. This is mainly used to expand the storage and if games have to be played, then they need to be installed back to the SSD.

PlayStation 5 has proven to be a success for Sony and has continued to sell well creating a new sales record. Sony is still facing a shortage of stock for the console which is leading to scalpers taking advantage and selling it at a higher price. In terms of games, two major new releases are confirmed for the PlayStation 5 including Returnal on April 30 and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart on June 11.
