Xbox One S All-Digital Officially Announced With Price, Free Games, and Extras

Microsoft has revealed the Xbox One S All-Digital edition. It was rumored in the past but the announcement is official now and the console is launching very soon.

Xbox One S All-Digital edition basically performs as it says in the name of the console. It doesn’t come packed in with a disc drive and the design is 1:1 match to the Xbox One S without any disc drive on the front. It is an all-digital console that is aimed at new users instead of old ones who might have a physical disc so that they can use the disc drive.

To make the console attractive, Microsoft is offering three free games with it. The confirmed ones are Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft. The console also comes with a trial for the Xbox Game Pass giving the user access to more than 100 games that can be downloaded and played on the Xbox One.

Xbox One S All-Digital edition sounds great until you take a look at its price. This new console will set you back as much as $249.99 so that is a lot of money compared to the regular Xbox One. It was leaked for the European market earlier where the price was listed as €229.99. For the United States, Microsoft is planning to sell it for $249.99 which is expensive than the old Xbox One S console.

Microsoft looks to be transitioning to a more digital business with this new console and Xbox Game Pass. It will be interesting to see how they take it further in the future.
