ARC Raiders Surpasses 16 Million Sales as Nexon Teases Embark’s Next Projects

Nexon has revealed that ARC Raiders has now surpassed 16 million units sold worldwide, further cementing the shooter as the company’s biggest new release to date. The update was shared as part of Nexon’s Q1 2026 financial results, where the publisher described the game as “the most successful release in company history.”

During Q1 2026 alone, ARC Raiders sold an additional 4.6 million copies, bringing cumulative sales to 15.5 million units during the quarter before later crossing the 16 million mark. Nexon also highlighted strong engagement numbers, stating that more than half of active players have spent over 100 hours in the game. Total playtime has reportedly exceeded 1.5 billion hours.

The success of ARC Raiders contributed heavily to Nexon’s growth in North America and Europe, where revenue increased 310% year-over-year. Overall PC and console revenue also climbed 52% compared to the previous year.

Nexon confirmed that a major update for ARC Raiders titled Frozen Trail is planned for October. The update will include both free and premium content, featuring new gameplay additions alongside cosmetics. According to the company, the goal is to bring back inactive players while continuing to expand the audience.

The publisher also revealed that ARC Raiders has received an ISBN license in China and will undergo several closed beta tests there throughout 2026, opening the door for a future launch in one of the industry’s largest markets.

Embark Studios, the developer behind ARC Raiders and THE FINALS, appears to be playing a much larger role within Nexon moving forward. Nexon said the success of ARC Raiders proves Embark can create “global IP at scale,” marking a broader strategic shift toward Western-developed live-service titles.

Alongside continued support for ARC Raiders and THE FINALS, Nexon also confirmed that Embark is currently developing two additional games. No further details were shared about those projects.
