Capcom Confirms Major Unannounced Game That Is Expected To Sell Millions By March 2024
Capcom has confirmed that it still has a major unannounced game in store that it expects to sell millions of copies within the short span of a few months.
In a Q&A session during the briefing for the second quarter final Fiscal Year ending March 2024, Capcom revealed that it has a major unannounced game planned for release during the second half of the current Fiscal Year that it expects to sell millions of copies within the short span of a few months.
In response to a question regarding the company’s plan to achieve the sales goal for new titles for this Financial Year, Capcom stated that, in the second half of this Financial Year, it plans to release Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy in January in addition to a currently unannounced major title. Moreover, it plans to boost the sales figures of new titles of the first half of this Financial Year to achieve the target.
Capcom originally planned to achieve its sales goal mainly by focusing on sale events in the second half of this Financial Year to boost the sales figures of its catalogue titles. However, the new unannounced title is on track for release in the second half of this Financial Year, and the company expects it to sell millions within the short span of a couple of month in order to reach the sales goal of 45 million copies.
As for speculation regarding what this title may be, all signs are pointing towards a new Monster Hunter game. Previously, an alleged leak shared on 4chan stated that an unannounced Monster Hunter game, titled Monster Hunter Paradise, will feature a battle pass in place of expansions, and that the game will apparently have over 100 monsters at launch. Based on the information shared by the unknown source, most of the aforementioned monsters are already available in Monster Hunter Rise, World and Generations.
