Pearl Abyss has released Crimson Desert Update 1.09.00, introducing several new features alongside a large collection of gameplay fixes and quality-of-life improvements. The update adds controller remapping support, dozens of collectible pets, new combat skills, and farming enhancements designed to streamline everyday gameplay.
Beyond the new content, the patch addresses issues affecting combat abilities, user interface functionality, graphics settings, localization, and overall stability. Players can also expect improvements to pet interactions, mission management, and various animation-related bugs throughout the world of Pywel.

- Adjusted stagger meter increase generated by Quaking Fury
UI Improvements
- Improved dispatch UI to prioritize comrades with required mission skills
- Added Repeating Mission indicator when repeating missions
- Keyboard and mouse cursor now disappears while examining documents
- Fixed issue displaying comrade count as zero in camp resources UI
- Fixed missing QTE input icon when certain control options were customized
- Fixed UI freeze after returning to the title screen because of certain errors
- Fixed Clean interaction appearing on fish that cannot be cleaned
Graphics and Settings

- Fixed issue where distant object shadows rendered incorrectly when Sun/Moonlight Shadow Effect was enabled

- Fixed issue preventing Raytraced Sun/Moon Light Shadows settings from applying correctly
Localization
- Fixed various localization issues
- Improved localization quality across all supported languages

- Fixed audio playing while examining books and bounty notices when Voice Language was set to English
- Fixed missing sound effects when cooking with a special cooking tool
- Fixed occasional crash when opening the Tree Branch crafting recipe tab
- Fixed issue where Damiane’s element-imbued attacks against sanctum cores could stack effects and reduce performance
- Fixed unnatural Damiane evasion animations while falling from high places
- Fixed unnatural landing animations in certain situations
- Fixed corpse-carrying animation issues while swimming and interacting with objects
- Fixed equipment transparency issues when switching tools
- Fixed issue causing equipped weapons to change unexpectedly when attacking with certain tools equipped
