Cronos: Lazarus Leak Points to Possible New Cronos: The New Dawn Expansion

A potential new project connected to Cronos: The New Dawn may have surfaced online ahead of an official announcement.

The title, Cronos: Lazarus, was reportedly discovered as part of an event hosted by the Chinese media platform Jike. While no additional details have been revealed, the appearance of the name has fueled speculation that Bloober Team could be preparing an expansion, DLC, or standalone follow-up tied to its survival horror franchise.

The leak follows a series of cryptic teasers shared by Bloober Team in recent days. Ahead of the anniversary of Cronos: The New Dawn’s gameplay reveal, the studio posted messages referencing “temporal anomalies” and urged players to remain cautious. Another teaser mentioned “voices who whisper across timelines” and the activation of a “pursuit protocol,” continuing the game’s established themes of time manipulation and alternate realities.

Fans have also connected the leak to an earlier in-game puzzle and teaser campaign that prominently featured the code “LZRS 28.” With the newly surfaced title containing the word “Lazarus,” some believe the teaser may have been hinting at the project all along.

Cronos: The New Dawn launched in September 2025 and introduced players to a retro-futuristic horror world inspired by communist-era Polish architecture. The game follows a time-traveling Traveler tasked with recovering souls from the past while battling grotesque creatures capable of merging into increasingly dangerous forms.

Until an official reveal takes place, the nature of Cronos: Lazarus remains unconfirmed. However, the timing of the leak alongside Bloober Team’s recent teasers suggests an announcement could be approaching.
