Pearl Abyss has released Crimson Desert Update 1.16, introducing a major overhaul of the game’s trading systems alongside a large collection of gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and stability enhancements. The update is rolling out across all platforms, with the Mac App Store version arriving later.
The headline additions include 133 new trading posts, dozens of new trade goods, wagon workshops, expanded banking features, and numerous quality-of-life improvements. The patch also resolves a wide range of issues affecting quests, combat, controls, graphics, localisation, and overall stability.

Trading
- Improved trading-related systems.
- Added 133 new trading posts, including the merchant at the Pailune Trading Post.
- New trading posts now unlock after progressing related quests.
- Adjusted the variety and quantities of goods sold at trading posts.
- Increased profits for trading at locations that are more difficult to reach by wagon.
- Trade good prices now fluctuate when large quantities are sold at the same location.

Wagon Workshops

Quality of Life
- Wagon routes are now displayed on the minimap while driving a wagon.
- Added a Trade tab to the map.
- Trading posts, royal trading posts, wagon workshops, and wagon routes are now visible from the Trade tab.
- Added filters to locate trading posts selling specific goods.
- Added market price information for all goods.
- Average purchase prices for trade goods are now displayed.
- Added item filter registration for packaged trade goods.
- Trade goods now display inventory quantities on horses and wagons.
- Added special map markers for merchants affected by trade events.
- Improved banking systems.
- Bank interest now has a maximum gain or loss of 40 gold bars.

Graphics and Settings
- Implemented AMD FSR SDK 2.3.0.
- Added support for FSR Upscaling 4.1 on AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series (RDNA 3) graphics cards.
- Updated Ray Regeneration to version 1.2.0.
- Reduced flickering around window edges.
- Fixed visibility issues affecting distant objects.
Localisation
- Fixed various localisation errors across all supported languages.
- Improved overall localisation quality.
Other Fixes
- Fixed numerous visual, animation, equipment, inventory, knowledge, crash, and stability issues.
- Improved the revival system while reading memory fragments.
- Fixed crashes affecting the map menu, character switching, stat enhancement, and boss encounters.
- Improved character-switching screens with character portraits.
- Updated several item classifications and values.
Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game developed and published by Pearl Abyss. Released on March 19, 2026, the game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and macOS. Update 1.16 is available now on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store, while the Mac App Store version is still in progress.
