Bloober Team has announced that Cronos: Lazarus, the upcoming DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn, will launch on December 3, 2026. Priced at $9.99, the expansion will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned for Q1 2027.
A new story trailer introduces the conflict between the Pathfinder and the Tracker, while offering a look at the expansion’s new abilities, weapons, and enemies. The DLC takes place before the events of the original game and explores the Pathfinder’s past, including the events that lead to his transformation into the Warden.
Players take control of the Pathfinder, an elite agent of the Collective, as he uncovers secrets surrounding the organisation and the consequences of going against its authority. His mission puts him in the path of the Tracker, an envoy sent by the Collective to stop him before he can complete a revival mission that the organisation wants kept hidden.
Cronos: Lazarus retains the third-person survival horror foundation of Cronos: The New Dawn, with Bloober Team placing greater emphasis on faster action and more aggressive encounters. Resource management remains part of the experience, while the new combat mechanics require players to react quickly and make tactical decisions.
The Pathfinder gains several new tools to help him survive. Teleportation allows him to reposition quickly during encounters, while a decoy can distract enemies and briefly make him invisible. The expansion also introduces the Gladius, a faster and deadlier weapon than the dagger featured in the original game.
