Spike Chunsoft has revealed Sakutaro Higashi, a new character appearing in Slayhem mode in Danganronpa 2×2. The character is one of the high school students caught up in the Class Trials featured in the game’s new scenario.
Higashi is voiced by Natsuki Hanae in Japanese and Griffin Burns in English. His Ultimate talent remains undisclosed, with both voice actors teasing that players will need to experience the game to discover his speciality.
Danganronpa 2×2 will feature two scenarios based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Original mode retells the 2012 game’s story with updated visuals and presentation, while Slayhem mode offers a completely different storyline. Both modes will be available from the beginning.
The game is scheduled to launch on January 14, 2027, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders for the standard edition and Psycho Tropical Vacation Package are now available.
