Brain Jar Games has released the first major content update for Dead as Disco since its Early Access launch. The update introduces Challenge Playlists, selectable Dance Moves, a new song, a new Infinite Disco arena, a new enemy type, and expanded customization tools for Custom Challenges.
Alongside the new content, the update delivers a large number of gameplay fixes, balance adjustments, accessibility improvements, UI enhancements, and quality-of-life changes. Leaderboards have also been reset to give players a fresh start following the update’s significant gameplay changes.

Balance Changes
Singularity
- Reduced damage dealt after launching enemies.
- Reduced flat score bonus.
- Increased time required to reach full charge.
- Score is now awarded when the black hole is released rather than when charge level is reached.
Fever Meter
- Reduced Fever gain from perfect inputs.
- Deflecting projectiles now generates Fever.
Combat
- Tap Bass Invader now hits twice.
Challenge Playlists
- Added the new Challenge Playlist feature.
- Create custom challenge runs using multiple songs.
- Chain Challenges together in any order.
- Supports both Normal Challenges and Custom Challenges.
- Functions similarly to Playlists in Free Play Mode.

Selectable Dance Moves
