Dead By Daylight Chorus Of Sin Chapter Releases August 25

by Greg Martin

Dead by Daylight: Chorus of Sin will launch on August 25, introducing a new Killer and Survivor to Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror game. The community-created Chapter is already available through the Steam Public Test Build, giving PC players an early look at its post-apocalyptic setting.

The new Chapter adds The Judgment as the Killer and Aurora Stardotter as the Survivor. Both characters were shaped through a community-driven development process that began more than 18 months ago, with players voting on various aspects of the Chapter through polls, blog posts and community streams.

The community chose an otherworldly Killer built around divine themes, marking a first for Dead by Daylight’s Killer roster. Players also selected the concept for a Survivor who would be a spiritual scientist from a world destroyed by The Judgment, giving the Chapter its post-apocalyptic setting.

The Judgment’s power is called Divine Light. It summons a pillar of divine light that can injure Survivors and inflict them with Heresy. If a marked Survivor is downed, they can be sent into Exile, an area filled with hazards that can accelerate their eventual demise.

The Judgment also comes with three unique Perks. Celestial Witness briefly reveals the aura of the Killer’s Obsession when they are at a considerable distance. Hex: Under Your Thumb activates a Dull Totem that restricts Survivor Haste after a Survivor receives their first Hook State.

Lay Waste, the Killer’s third Perk, increases Generator regression after the Killer damages one, with the effect becoming stronger based on how much the Generator has already been repaired.

Aurora Stardotter arrives with her own set of three Perks. Fruits of Your Labor allows her to accumulate tokens while repairing Generators. Completing repairs then grants Haste and increased healing progress based on the number of tokens collected.

Salvation’s Cry is designed around teamwork during a chase. While Aurora is being pursued, the Perk temporarily reveals her aura to other Survivors, while their auras are subsequently revealed to her.

Her final Perk, Boon: Steadfast, creates a Boon Totem that slows Generator regression within its range while also increasing repair speed.

Dead by Daylight: Chorus of Sin is currently playable through the Steam Public Test Build and will officially release on August 25.
