Tencent Games is bringing its biggest gamescom lineup yet to Cologne this year, with playable demos, new game reveals, technical showcases and activities planned across the event. The company will showcase its portfolio to consumers from August 26 to 28, following its appearance during Opening Night Live on August 25.

The consumer booth will be located at Koelnmesse in Hall 8.1, Booth A-051-B-050, where attendees can try a selection of games, take part in interactive activities and collect exclusive merchandise. Tencent will also have a major presence in the business area at Hall 4.2, Booth B035D, with demonstrations aimed at industry visitors.

One of the games featured at the show will be Animula Nook from LilliLandia Games. The life simulation game turns familiar everyday objects into miniature fantasy environments, with a hands-on demo available to attendees. The booth will also feature photo opportunities with characters from the game and interactive stage activities.

Tencent’s Honor of Kings universe will have a particularly large presence at gamescom 2026. TiMi Studio Group will showcase four titles, including the newly announced Honor of Kings: ACE, which will be playable on both PC and mobile for the first time. Honor of Kings: World will also return with a new playable demo, while visitors can play Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor.

The Honor of Kings activities will include stage competitions, booth challenges, character appearances, themed photo installations and merchandise. TiMi Studio Group will also participate in the Playing for the Planet Alliance’s gamescom activities, with an experience designed to promote more environmentally friendly gaming setups.

Rust Mobile will also be featured at the event. The officially licensed mobile game developed by Tencent Games will have stage activities, cosplayers and photo opportunities, while visitors can compete for themed prizes including a 1:1-scale AK prop.

Between August 24 and 30, gamescom Camp ticket holders will also be able to visit a Rust Mobile-themed tent at Jugendpark Köln. The area will offer gameplay, mini-games and cosplay appearances. Three themed rickshaws will additionally travel through the gamescom area and Cologne, with a photo challenge offering participants the chance to win a €200 gift card.

Tencent’s business presence will focus heavily on technology and development tools. Tencent Games Central Tech is making its gamescom debut, bringing teams including Motus AI, GIGA, Tencent Games Vox, MagicDawn, Anti-Cheat Expert, GVoice and WeTest to showcase technology covering game production, gameplay and long-term live operations.

The company will also host technical sessions covering several areas of game development. Topics include generative AI for 3D character animation, autonomous AI agents for FPS battlefields, global illumination and performance optimisation in cross-platform open-world games, and autonomous testing for complex games.

LightSpeed Studios’ LAP, or LightSpeed In-House AI Platform for Game Asset Generation, will also be showcased at the event. Tencent describes the platform as a PaaS asset platform designed to improve the efficiency, quality and security of game asset production through industrial-grade production pipelines.

Limited beta access for LAP is scheduled to open in September, with developers able to register for early access through the platform’s website. Tencent says the service will launch across multiple regions worldwide.
