Diablo Immortal Fans Are Asking For The Option To Hide Helm

by Muhammad Ali Bari

Diablo Immortal has been out for only a few days, and fans already have a checklist of features they want added to the game, including the option to hide helm. As of writing, there’s no official way to disable your helmet while keeping it equipped.

There’s a fairly robust character creator available in Diablo Immortal, with lots of customization options. As such, players who spent tons of hours to create fancy and unique looking characters would rather have their faces visible. Of course, they could simply unequip the helmet, but doing so also removes all the stat boosts that it brings.

There is, however, somewhat of a workaround, but it’s far from ideal. Reddit users have reported that the helmet is glitched when playing as the Crusader class, often resulting in it not being visible on the character, despite being equipped. As seen in the image below, the character has their helm equipped, but they are not seen wearing it. This is more of an annoyance, since there are naturally players who’d rather have their character’s helm visible on the battlefield.

It’d be great if Activision Blizzard and NetEase listen to their fan base and add the option to hide helm in Diablo Immortal in a future update. The game already supports transmog, where the essence of legendary and powerful gear is transferred over to the gear you prefer aesthetically. Similarly, the option to hide helm ought to be available for those who prefer to keep their character’s face revealed.

Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play game set in the Diablo universe, and is aimed largely towards mobile devices. The massively multiplayer online action role-playing game takes place between the events of Diablo II and Diablo III. It was announced in late 2018 and published for Android and iOS on June 2, 2022, with a beta release for Windows on the same date.
