Bandai Namco has released a playable demo for DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, giving players an early opportunity to experience the upcoming RPG ahead of its launch next month.
The demo allows players to play through the opening portion of the game’s story and offers a preview of the adventure that awaits in the full release. Progress made during the story segment can be carried over to the final game, enabling players to continue their journey from where they left off when the title launches.
In addition to the opening story content, the demo includes a separate mode called Central Town – Adventure Trial. This section lets players explore additional locations and dungeons throughout the Digital World of Iliad, offering a broader look at the game’s environments and exploration systems. However, Bandai Namco notes that any progress made within the Adventure Trial content will not transfer to the full version.
DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER follows members of ADAMAS, a covert organization tasked with investigating unusual phenomena. As strange incidents begin threatening both the Human World and the Digital World, players will travel across different points in time to uncover the cause of the crisis. Throughout the adventure, they will fight alongside their Digimon companions while confronting challenges tied to fate and the future of both worlds.
DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER is scheduled to launch on July 10, 2026 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The newly released demo is available now through the Nintendo eShop.
