Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced a free update for Digimon Story: Time Stranger launching on July 9. The update introduces several new features, including the long-awaited addition of Terriermon Assistant as a playable character, along with Photo Mode for field exploration.
Players will also gain access to new quality-of-life features such as a Digivolution Conditions screen in the Digifarm and Graphics Mode options. These additions aim to make progression tracking easier while offering more ways to enjoy and customize the game experience.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger originally launched on October 3, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC. The free update will be released on July 9, 2026, one day before the game’s Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 launch on July 10, 2026.
