Disney and Fox Merger Is Now Complete Making X-Men and Deadpool Officially Part of MCU

The moment has finally arrived after a long wait and now the Walt Disney Studio and 20th Century Fox merger is complete giving Disney a complete control over the brands and IPs owned by the studio behind X-Men, Deadpool, and more.

The official website for Disney is quite interesting right now giving a glimpse at their future. You can spot Deadpool, Simpsons, and movies like The Shape of Water after the news was officially confirmed by Disney today. The website was updated to reflect any changes made after this new acquisition of Disney.

Here’s what is included in this acquisition as shared by Disney on their official website when announcing this news.

The acquisition includes 21st Century Fox’s renowned film production businesses, including Twentieth Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Family and Fox Animation; Fox’s television creative units, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX Productions and Fox21; FX Networks; National Geographic Partners; Fox Networks Group International; Star India; and Fox’s interests in Hulu, Tata Sky and Endemol Shine Group. Disney and 21st Century Fox entered into a consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice last year under which Disney will divest 21st Century Fox’s Regional Sports Networks.

There are a lot of things included in the acquisition but fans of superhero movies can now finally enjoy having X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool in their Marvel Cinematic Movies. It is speculated that these can take at least by 2021 to get any substantial movie or role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so don’t expect some early result for them.
