Dispatch Anniversary Update Adds New Modes and Mobile Release

by Greg Martin

Dispatch has reached 5 million players as developer AdHoc Studio celebrates the game’s first anniversary with new content, a mobile release date, physical editions, and plans for a live soundtrack concert. The anniversary update also brings two new playable modes to Deluxe Edition owners at no extra cost.

The new Commentary and Storyboard modes are available now for players who own the Deluxe Edition DLC. The commentary feature includes more than 16 hours of recordings covering every episode, with separate Cast and Crew tracks. Contributors include Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and members of the team responsible for writing, directing, and designing the game.

Storyboard Mode lets players experience every episode through the original storyboard animatics, offering a look at how scenes and characters were developed before animation began. Both modes are free for existing Deluxe Edition owners. Players who own the standard edition can upgrade for $10.99, which also includes the digital art book and all four digital comics. The Deluxe Edition upgrade is currently available at a 20% discount on Steam and Xbox.

AdHoc Studio has also confirmed that Dispatch will launch on iOS and Android on December 9, 2026, alongside support for Google Play Games on PC. The first four episodes will be free, while access to the full game will cost $19.99 in the US, with regional prices varying. The mobile version has been rebuilt for touch controls and vertical play. It will be available in regions where the PC and console versions are sold, excluding China and Japan.

Physical Deluxe Editions are also in the works for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2. Each copy will include a 16-page pocket edition of SDN’s Guide to Dispatching, a two-sided poster, and a soundtrack code styled after a Lenart Terminal disc. The physical edition will also include the new Commentary and Storyboard modes. Pre-orders are available through Lost In Cult and participating retailers, while the SteelBook edition is exclusive to PANAX Games. Its first production run is limited, with another planned for spring 2027.

The anniversary announcements also include Dispatch: Design Works, a hardcover art book and collectible box featuring behind-the-scenes material based on interviews with cast members and developers. Pre-order details are expected at the end of November, ahead of a planned 2027 release.

Meanwhile, Dispatch: The Album, featuring Andrew Arcadi’s original score and licensed tracks from the game, is available to order through Lost In Cult Records. The soundtrack will be released on three 12-inch vinyl records in black Prime and coloured Astral editions, with shipping planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Finally, AdHoc Studio and Banter Events will host Night Shift, a live music event featuring tracks from Dispatch, at AVALON Hollywood in Los Angeles on December 3, 2026. Performers include THOT SQUAD, Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury, and Fartbarf, alongside composer Andrew Arcadi and the SDN Company Band. The 21-and-over event will run from 7 pm to 10 pm, with doors opening at 6 pm. Subscribers to AdHoc’s email list who sign up before October 28 will receive a code for the ticket pre-sale, while any remaining tickets will go on general sale on November 2.
