Capcom has confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will receive further performance improvements with Title Update 3.2, including a targeted 60 FPS Performance Mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Speaking about the update, producer Yoshiaki Oyama said the development team has spent more than six months working on performance optimisations following the game’s release. The next major update is scheduled to arrive in late August.

“We had worked on performance optimisations for over half a year since the release of DD2, and with Title Update 3.2 coming at the end of August, we’re planning further optimisation updates through a combination of game engine updates and a wide range of incremental improvements,” Oyama said.

He added, “As one indicator of this, we have tuned the game to run at 60 FPS in Performance Mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. We’ll also be revising the minimum and recommended system requirements for PC, so please stay tuned for further details.”

The interview also revealed that Capcom is developing a Hard Mode for Dragon’s Dogma 2. Director Kento Kinoshita said the mode is intended to provide a greater challenge for experienced players whose characters are approaching or have reached the level cap, although no release window has been announced.

Capcom also shared new details on the upcoming Dark Arisen expansion content. The Forsaken Dominion expansion is recommended for players around level 40, while Lost Rites is aimed at those around level 20. According to the developers, both expansions can be accessed early in the main story by speaking with Brant after arriving in Vernworth, with the difficulty increasing steadily as players progress.

Title Update 3.2 is expected to launch in late August, with additional details on the PC requirements and Hard Mode set to be shared at a later date.
