Funcom has confirmed the graphics options for Dune Awakening on PlayStation 5, with the upcoming survival game offering both 60 FPS Performance and 30 FPS Quality modes. Both options will use Dynamic 4K resolution on the standard PS5.
According to the developer, Performance Mode targets 60 FPS with Dynamic 4K, while Quality Mode targets 30 FPS with Dynamic 4K. Players will therefore be able to prioritise smoother gameplay or visual quality when the game launches on consoles.
The PlayStation 5 Pro will also receive both graphics modes, although it will have a higher native resolution in each mode. Funcom says the Pro version will additionally feature enhanced visuals when running in Quality Mode.
Dune Awakening originally launched in early access on PC in June 2025. The open-world multiplayer survival game is set on Arrakis, where players must contend with the planet’s harsh environment, sandworms and competing factions.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are scheduled to launch on September 22, 2026. The console release will also introduce a dedicated single-player offline mode and include the content updates released for the PC version since its original launch. The game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass from day one.
