Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has received update 3.0.1, addressing several bugs affecting gameplay, rewards, audio, and character behaviour. The update fixes an accessory slot issue in New Game Plus, incorrect WP amounts, and an audio balance problem.
The patch also resolves issues involving Rex becoming uncontrollable during combat and Pouch Item effects failing to activate after swapping MOMO’s form. These fixes improve several specific gameplay issues in the Switch 2 Edition.
Patch Notes
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an accessory slot issue in New Game Plus where receiving WP as an amiibo reward while having three accessory slots could cause the slots to decrease to two.
- If the extra accessory slot was re-unlocked after the bug occurred, the items spent to unlock the additional slot will be returned.
- Fixed an audio balance issue where the background music and sound effects balance differed from the Nintendo Switch version.
- Fixed a WP issue where a Driver joining the party could sometimes arrive with an exorbitant amount of WP.
- Fixed a Rex combat issue that could make Rex uncontrollable when switching from Pyra to Mythra.
- Fixed a Pouch Item issue where Pouch Item effects would not activate during combat after swapping MOMO to a form different from the one she had when combat started.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition update 3.0.1 was released on August 26, 2026. The game was developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo.
