Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have released the first trailer for Dune: Part Three, offering a first look at the final chapter of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s science fiction saga.
Set nearly 20 years after Paul Atreides seized control of the Imperium, Dune: Part Three follows the now-ruthless Emperor as he faces the consequences of his rule. Old allies return, new enemies emerge and a growing rebellion threatens his reign, while Paul is haunted by visions of the Empire’s collapse and the return of his long-lost love. Chani also plays a central role in a conspiracy that unfolds throughout the story.
The film stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson and Javier Bardem.
Villeneuve directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brian K. Vaughan, based on Frank Herbert’s novels. The production team includes director of photography Linus Sandgren, production designer Patrice Vermette, editor Joe Walker, costume designer Jacqueline West, casting director Francine Maisler and composer Hans Zimmer.
Dune: Part Three will open exclusively in cinemas and IMAX across North America on December 18, 2026, with international release beginning on December 16, 2026. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the film worldwide, while Legendary East will handle distribution in China.
