Elite Dangerous Operations Update 3 focuses on restoring player data and resolving issues introduced with the Operations update. The patch restores unsold exploration data, adds a new option to resynchronise visited star data, and confirms that missing Operations rewards and on-foot inventories will be returned in a future update.
The update also includes several quality of life improvements alongside fixes for Operations rewards, user interface issues, crashes, vehicle visuals, and gameplay bugs affecting NPC crews and ship systems.

Quality of Life Updates
- Restored players’ unsold exploration data from before the July 2 maintenance, allowing it to be sold normally.
- Added a Resync Local Data button under the Help and Info submenu on the Main Menu to restore the visited star data cache.
- Confirmed that Merc Coins, Credits, Materials, and Inventory rewards for previously completed Operations that failed to grant rewards will be awarded retroactively in a future update.
- Confirmed that players whose on-foot inventories were wiped after completing an Operation before 23:30 UTC on July 2 will have their inventories restored.
- Improved Merc Engineering and Merc Modules telegraphing within:
- Outfitting.
- Ships Internal Panel.
Bug Fixes
Operations
- Fixed an issue where the Operations Rewards screen could appear empty despite rewards being successfully distributed.
- Fixed an issue where the Mission Updated notification could minimise the Operations Rewards screen.
- Fixed an issue where the starting Frontline Runner remained highlighted as a mission objective throughout an Operation.
- Fixed an issue where NPC crew members could fail to respawn after the player died during an Operation.
- Fixed several voice-over and text inconsistencies within the Reclamation Point Operation.
Gameplay
- Fixed erratic visual behaviour affecting the Scarab SRV wheels.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the Powerplay menu during a hyperspace jump.
- Fixed an issue where the fighter bay could clip through the Nomad during launch and docking.
- Fixed an issue where fighter bay doors could clip through support pistons and where the main ramp could appear misaligned.
Elite Dangerous Operations Update 3 is now available for the PC version of the game. Developed and published by Frontier Developments, Elite Dangerous launched on December 16, 2014, and is currently supported exclusively on PC.
