EA and Codemasters have revealed new details about the upcoming F1 25: 2026 Season Pack, which launches worldwide on June 3 for PlayStation 5. Alongside the new content, the update will introduce enhanced PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) support for PS5 Pro owners, further improving image quality in the racing simulator.
Speaking about the update, Codemasters Technical Producer Si Lumb explained that F1 25 already launched with PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced support and that integrating the latest version of PSSR was a straightforward process. According to the studio, the upgraded technology delivers a sharper image while maintaining the game’s focus on a locked 60 frames per second experience in its ray tracing-enhanced Quality mode.
The PS5 Pro version continues to offer multiple display options, including the Quality mode with enhanced PSSR and ray tracing features, a 120Hz Performance mode for supported displays, and an 8K Resolution mode for compatible televisions. Codemasters says the combination of these features delivers the best visual experience available on console hardware.
Ray tracing remains a key component of the PS5 Pro version. The game supports ray-traced reflections, dynamic diffuse global illumination, and ray-traced global illumination in Quality mode. According to the developer, these technologies are especially noticeable on the new Madring circuit, which was built specifically with the latest visual enhancements in mind.
The 2026 Season Pack itself brings the complete 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship season to F1 25. Players will gain access to the updated regulations, refreshed driver lineups, and two new teams joining the grid: Audi and Cadillac. The expansion also introduces the new Madring street circuit, designed to showcase the game’s latest visual technology and high-speed racing action.
Gameplay changes are also included as part of the update. Codemasters is introducing active aerodynamics and a new Overtake mode, both intended to create more strategic and dynamic racing. Career Mode and My Team have also been expanded, giving players additional ways to build a racing career or manage their own Formula One team.
For players who do not already own F1 25, EA is releasing the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition. This package includes the base game alongside all content from the 2026 Season Pack, including the updated My Team mode and the latest chapter of the Braking Point story campaign.
The F1 25: 2026 Season Pack and F1 25: 2026 Season Edition will be available globally on June 3 for PlayStation 5.
