Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Update 1.005 Adds Streamlined Progression and New Game Head Start

Square Enix has released Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Update 1.005, introducing new gameplay options designed to help players progress through the adventure more efficiently. The update adds the Streamlined Progression feature, which offers a variety of customizable enhancements for combat and exploration.

The patch also introduces New Game Head Start, allowing players to begin a new playthrough with level 65 characters and enhanced materia. In addition, the PC version now supports AMD FSR upscaling for improved image processing, while the update includes several minor bug fixes.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. The game launched for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024, followed by a PC release in early 2025 and releases on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3, 2026. This update is Version 1.005 (Build 23447986), released on June 3, 2026.
