Football Manager 27 will be free to play on PC and Mac from October 29 to November 3, giving players five days to try the upcoming football management simulation before its full release on November 10. The free Launch Preview will be available through Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass.
The free period begins at 6pm GMT on October 29 and does not require additional registration. Players can download the game through their preferred platform and access all available game modes during the preview.
Football Manager 27’s Launch Preview replaces the Beta and Advanced Access periods used for previous entries in the series. According to the developers, this version is intended to be closer to the quality of the final release than earlier preview builds.
Players will be able to carry their save files from the free preview into the paid Launch Preview and the full game, allowing them to continue their careers without starting over. Those playing through Game Pass can also continue their progress through their subscription.
The preview introduces several changes to the management experience, including a clearer interface, an enhanced match engine, and additional tactical controls. New features such as Tactical Tweaks and Tactical Effectiveness give players more options for managing training and making decisions on the touchline.
Pre-purchases for Football Manager 27 will also become available when the free preview period ends. Players purchasing through SEGA-approved digital retailers can receive a 10% discount and continued Launch Preview access from 6pm GMT on November 3 until the game’s full launch on November 10.
The Launch Preview may contain incomplete or unapproved information that does not accurately reflect real-world data. Some club and player assets may also be absent during this period.
Football Manager 27’s free Launch Preview runs from October 29 to November 3 on PC and Mac. Access through Xbox Game Pass is limited to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
