Gears of War 5 PC System Requirements Detailed

The Coalition has shared the system requirements for Gears of War 5. Here’s what you need to own in order to run the game at the max settings on PC.

Gears of War 5 was showcased at the recent Inside Xbox during Gamescom. Microsoft has debuted a story trailer for the game giving fans a glimpse at the campaign and new gameplay footage. The story in the game appears to focus heavily on Kait and her inner quest for redemption as she tries to save the planet.

The Coalition has also put the game up for pre-purchase on Steam. You can grab it now and play it when the game launches on September 10. Those who own the Ultimate Edition or Xbox Game Pass can play through it earlier, on September 6.

In addition to the pre-order going up, the details on the system requirements were also shared by The Coalition.

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: AMD FX-6000 series | Intel i3 Skylake
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 280 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 80 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectX compatible
RECOMMENDED:

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 | Intel i5 Skylake
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 570 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 80 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectX compatible

That should be more than enough information to determine if your PC can run the game. It will be available in an early launch for Ultimate Edition owners on September 6th, and for the rest on September 10. You can get it on PC through Steam or Windows 10 Store, and Xbox One.
