Gotham Knights May Be Set To Receive DLC Soon
WB Games Montreal’s open world action role-playing game, Gotham Knights, may be on the verge of receiving DLC sometime soon.
Gotham Knights has been receiving a series of updates on SteamDB over the last few days, suggesting that some sort of DLC may be coming soon. Fans will recall that, soon after launch, datamined files had revealed Batman to be a possible playable character in the game. While this was not the case in the base game, it’s likely that Batman will be added as a DLC character.
Whatever the case, this constant spree of internal updates to Gotham Knights suggests that something is happening behind-the-scenes. The game may end up receiving a large patch or there may be a story DLC – likely a prequel – featuring Batman. Only time will tell, however.
Previously, a list of achievements/trophies for Gotham Knights had emerged online, suggesting that the game would receive DLC that will add redesigned boss fights featuring Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, and Clayface. In addition, the leaked achievements/trophies list for Gotham Knights revealed that the downloadable content would include new supercharged criminals, most wanted enemies, and the KELVIN Incident. The list appears to be legitimate, and, as such, an announcement in this regard is expected to happen sometime soon.
Gotham Knights is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by WB Games Montréal and published by Warner Bros. Games. It was released on October 21, 2022, for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One versions were also planned, but were ultimately cancelled.
Drawing inspiration from the beloved Batman: Gotham Knights comic series and revolving around the iconic DC Comics character, Batman, along with his loyal companions, the game focuses on Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. Together, they venture to bring back justice to Gotham City during a period of decline following Batman’s demise. As the story unfolds, the heroes take on the quest to unravel the circumstances that led to their mentor’s passing.
