GTA Online PC Exploit Allows Hackers To Access IP Address, Rockstar Looking Into It
A new exploit in the PC version of Rockstar Games’ GTA Online has allowed hackers to access the IP addresses of players.
Hackers in GTA Online have found a PC exploit that can potentially be used to delete the profiles of other players. This harmful GTA Online exploit is currently being circulated across those with malicious intent. Through mods and other exploits possible in the PC version, cheaters have discovered a way to permanently delete other players’ game profiles. Additionally, hackers have the ability to alter player stats and bring about a game crash.
The exploit enables cheaters to reset a player mission’s cooldown, change other players’ ranks, place them in undesirable lobbies, ban or delete their GTA Online profiles, take away their in-game money. The situation is extremely serious, as cheaters have the power to permanently ban you from the game and obliterate your character and clear your stats. Given the severity of the exploit, GTA V players on PC are advised to avoid playing online until the issue has been fixed.
Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has stated that it is aware of potential new exploits in GTA Online for PC, and it aims to resolve them in an upcoming planned security-related update.
Previously, a leak for GTA Online suggested that Rockstar may be bringing back cut content from 2020’s canceled Cops and Crooks update. A well known GTA leaker, known as Alloc8or on the GTA forums, revealed that Rockstar is planning on bringing back some cut content, including weapons, from 2020’s infamous Cops and Crooks update.
