GTA VI Reveal Trailer Planned For December, Possibly At The Game Awards 2023
Rockstar Games’ latest open world action game, GTA VI, is set for an announcement as early as this week, followed by a reveal trailer in December, possibly at The Game Awards 2023.
Update: Rockstar Games has confirmed via a Facebook post that the very first trailer for GTA VI will be released in early December, 2023.
According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, Rockstar Games plans to announce the latest entry in the Grand Theft Auto series as early as this week, according to people familiar with its plans. As per his sources, who opted to remain anonymous, the developer will also reveal a trailer for GTA VI next month in December to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Given the timing of the trailer for GTA VI, we think that The Game Awards 2023 may just be the platform where it is showcased. The show’s producer and host, Geoff Keighley, is known for his connections in the industry, and there’s a chance that he may have collaborated with Rockstar Games on a potential reveal at this year’s event. Only time will tell whether that’s actually the case, however. Either way, it appears that GTA fans won’t have to wait long before getting an official look at the latest entry in the widely popular series.
Previously, it was reported that the graphical leap from RDR 2 to GTA VI will be more substantial than the one from GTA V to RDR2. Through its sources, Rockstar Mag obtained information on the technical improvements that Rockstar Games’ next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA VI, will bring thanks to the evolution of the RAGE engine.
According to the leaked information, Rockstar Games is developing a new technology for water physics, which will be integrated into GTA VI. After months of research, experimentation, and optimization, the engineers at the California based studio have successfully implemented real-time simulation of water in an open-world game. As per sources, the ocean will constitute a significant part of the GTA VI world map, potentially for the purpose of introducing new activities like surfing.
